Application For Right-Of-Way Encroachment

The application for Right-Of-Way Encroachment is required for any project encroaching on the city's right of way. Please verify the jurisdiction of the right of way before applying. The City of Tangent has four different road jurisdictions within the City Limit.

The State of Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has jurisdiction over Highway 34, Highway 99E, and Old Highway 34. Please click here for ODOT Permits.

Linn County Road Department has jurisdiction over Glass Drive, Looney Lane, McFarland Road, North Lake Creek Drive, Old Oak Drive (East of Old Church), and Tangent Drive. Please click here for Linn County Permits.

The City of Tangent has jurisdiction over Birdfoot Drive, Blackberry Lane, Garden Lane, Old Church,  Old Mill Road, Old Oak (Drive Between Old Church and Blackberry Lane), Queens Anne's Lace Lane, and Rolland Drive. Continue with this application if you infringe on roads under the City of Tangent.

Did you not find the road/street name you are looking for? The City of Tangent has over ten privately owned roads and streets within the City of Tangent. You must coordinate with the appropriate road owner, such as the Homeowner Association or Developer. The City of Tangent requests we're included to be aware of possible upcoming projects.
